Ashtanga Yoga gives you strength , practicing daily will keep your body and mind strong! Like anything in life just going through the moves won't cut it!!you could say you practice yoga as many do but your body will reflect your practice! Of course there are many different types of yoga .Ashtanga suits me it's not for everyone , each move practiced correctly will challenge your mind and body both working together . Warrior pose is a perfect example of what you can get out of a pose or Not .Alignment ,breathing ,balance are all part of this pose you can get as much or as little as you won't from this seemingly easy pose All poses are there for a reason! Enjoy
Healthy eating is about Balance & discipline !! Like my ashtanga yoga I love my daily juicing /smoothies I'm Always experimenting with different recipes as much as I'm trying new balances and postures with some yoga fun!! But you don't get the fun without the discipline ;my daily practice gives me the ability to do strength moves such as this; because of my commitment within my yoga and the other sporting activities I participate in .Everything to the full or not at All in my books including diet , eat crap fell like crap !I'm fuelled on plant power and at 47 I'm getting stronger & discovering new abilities with my body every Day! This is one of the poses in our fun league of extraordinary yogis Challenge presently on instagram!! The smoothie recipe I'm holding as follows ( 1/2 fresh juiced pineapple kiwi fruit x 1 then blend with banana x1 a teaspoon of Chia seeds and a cup of coconut milk!) Enjoy!!

Yes I'd like some beard Oil I've been bearded ten Years ! Yoused to be asked why do I have a beard ?is it real?Can I touch it & still do so even if I said No!!! At least there's Now many more to take the attention away from me! Any beard questions please redirect to Santa!!Unless of course you do have some beard oil I can have!lol

Felt better today so attempt a yoga poses brought to us by My fellow league of extraordinary yogis host saltulife princess!! Yes I have a prolapse disc hopefully on the mend !!But I'm also self-employed so I don't sit around on my ass when the in pain ;I get on with it ! Check out my fellow hosts poses each day this month I'm trying what I can as my back improves!!

I'm on the road to recovery I hope!! For the second time I have trapped a nerve in my back apparently my third & fourth vertebrae are the buggers!So my daily ashtanga practice has been put on the back burner once AGAIN!I'm certainly not new to injury I started when I was 4 years old ,lol I've had everything a wired up haw for six weeks drinking through a straw to knee operations & to many stitches to mention.So this time my back has a prolapse disc But that doesn't mean sitting around by any means so each day I'm posting what I'm doing to keep fit and recover back to full ashtanga practice and my hands on job as a builder designer.Today I'm showing a finger tip caturanga -dandasana & a upward dog ,GREAT for stretching & strengthening the back muscles that you need to recover .Any sitting around or non activity is no good it's going to make your back stiff at any time !There is a lot of grey area to backs as I've now found out so I'm getting on with my recovery as I see best if it doesn't hurt then it must be ok !!
